A lot of people have hypoglossal nerve inflammation.
They have a problem with their tongue, but they don't know what it is.
Either weird sensations with the tongue, weird sensations inside the tongue,
or a swelling of the tongue.
It gets misdiagnosed a lot of times as tongue tie, but it's not the classic tongue tie.
It's a cranial nerve, and hypoglossal nerve inflammation
is because basically your cranial nerve coming out of your brainstem
down into your tongue is inflamed.
So what happens is in the back of the brainstem down there, there's nerves that extend out of it.
And the hypoglossal nerve is one of those nerves that comes out of there.
But this one tends to go to the tongue area.
So that means people have problems with their tongue where they feel like it's oversized in their mouth or it's going over their teeth or they can't talk right.
And this can develop.
This can be a neurological problem, creating neurological tongue symptoms that are really even debilitating for some people.
And it's the hypoglossal nerve inflammation.
Thank you.
